A little over three years ago my father and I decided that we wanted to learn violin (and also spend some time together). We have been taking lessons with Dennis ever since. He's a really great teacher - incredibly patient and understanding with our "process" for learning new skills - mixing challenging finger positions with some easier numbers, so we don't give up hope! Every year, my dad and I do a short performance for the family at Christmas, and they are very impressed with our progress. Dennis is fantastic!

“At 70 I am probably the oldest beginning violinist that Dennis has ever encountered. With his understanding and professionalism, I was able to check off one of the long-standing items on my bucket list. Though I never practiced as much as was needed Dennis never gave up and we were able to successfully complete the first two Suzuki beginners books and almost completed the third book before the COVID-19 lockdown. I will never achieve concert violinist status but am more than happy with the results. I am able to play many of my favorite pieces for my own enjoyment and relaxation. Lili Marlene, Danny Boy, Strangers in the Night, Born Free, Moon River, Tennessee Waltz, Blowing in the Wind, Edelweiss, and others.
